Scientific Objectives

CPRM is participating in ACD's two primary research goals: 1) global and regional air quality, and 2) the chemistry of the climate system, through the identification of key atmospheric chemical transformations and physical processes affecting chemical constituents.

Current research topics

• interpretation of data from the MIRAGE field campaign
• condensation of secondary organic aerosol (SOA) constituents
• planning of the DC3 field campaign
• assessment of biomass burning impacts on air quality

• TUV, the Tropospheric Ultraviolet and Visible Radiation Model
• WRFChem, a local-to-regional scale chemistry model
