Our annual evacuation drill is tentatively
scheduled for September 25 (the time will not be announced). When the
alarm sounds, stop what you are doing, close your office or lab door,
and proceed to the gathering point in the parking lot southwest of FL0.
The Safety Officer has asked us to consider leaving by a different path
than normal, to get used to the possibility that your primary route
might be blocked by fire. One of our goals is to account for all staff
during drills and actual evacuations. If you are out of the office on
travel or vacation, or even just off campus for a seminar, meeting or
lunch, please get in the habit of letting someone know (your
supervisor, administrative assistant, office mate, or neighbor).
