Will NCAR host an email account for me?

Will NCAR host an email account for me?
If you are a full-time staff member, your email will be hosted automatically. We require that email for UCAR business be hosted on our IMAP servers. If you are a visitor, we set up email hosting automatically if you apply for a CIT account. Our mail server is "mail.acd.ucar.edu" and it serves email with the IMAP protocol. A Systems Administrator will be glad to help you configure your email client software. Your address will be your UCAS username at ucar.edu -- for example, `johndoe@ucar.edu`. Our email system does spam filtering. We also filter out certain types of dangerous attachments -- those containing known viruses, and executable attachments.
